By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

The short version

Who can use the app

You must be 18 or older. You sign in with Apple and verify a phone number. One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens on your account, and for keeping your Apple ID and phone secure.

We arrange introductions, not games

Find a Fourth helps players find and organize games. We do not own, operate, inspect, or supervise any court or venue, and we do not organize, run, referee, or supervise games. Hosts and players are not our employees or agents. Venue information is shown for convenience, may be inaccurate or out of date, and should be confirmed with the venue before you go. The app takes no payments, and any arrangement about costs is between you and the other players or the venue.

Other players

We do not run background checks or verify identities, ages, or skill levels beyond a phone number. Skill levels are self-rated. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, on and off the app. Meet at public courts where possible, and leave if you feel unsafe.

Assumption of risk

Pickleball and other physical activities involve inherent risks, including falls, collisions, being struck by a ball or paddle, muscle and joint injuries, heat illness, cardiac events, and injuries caused by court surfaces, weather, equipment, or other players. You understand these risks, you choose to take part, and you accept full responsibility for any injury, illness, loss, or damage that may result.

Your health and fitness

You decide whether you are fit to play. Talk to a doctor if you have any medical concerns. Stop playing if you feel unwell, and follow the rules and safety guidance of the venue.

How to behave

No harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual content, impersonation, or unsafe behavior. Don’t post links, photos of other people without their consent, or anything illegal. Don’t try to get around the app’s limits, bans, or privacy protections, and don’t scrape or collect other players’ information. Hosts must show up for the games they post or cancel in time, and players must do the same. You can report a player or a message in the app, and block a player at any time.

We may remove content, suspend accounts, or ban accounts at our discretion, especially after reports. A ban also blocks the phone number.

Your content

You keep what you post (your photo, notes, and messages). You give us permission to store and show it to other players as the app is designed to, so the app can work. You promise it is yours to share and that it follows these Terms.

Release

To the fullest extent the law allows, you release Find a Fourth and its owner, employees, and agents from any claims, demands, and damages (including personal injury, illness, death, or property damage) arising out of or related to your participation in any game, your use of any venue, or the conduct of any other user.

Limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed $100.

Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Find a Fourth and its owner against claims arising from your use of the app, your participation in games, your content, or your violation of these Terms or the law.

Ending your account

You can delete your account in the app at any time (Settings, then Delete account). What we keep afterward is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Emergencies

The app is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 911.

Changes

We may update these Terms. When we do, the app asks you to review and accept the new version before you can host or join a game.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts in Davidson County, Tennessee.
